Chicago has already recorded 2,000 people shot this year, eclipsing the 2019 numbers that show a total of 2151 people shot – twenty-three people were shot yesterday, Tuesday, with four of them dying.

Around 1:40 a.m. two males, 23 and 25, were shot in a drive-by shooting which resulted in non life threatening injuries to both.

Around noon, a 20 year old man was shot once in the chest by a group of unknown shooters, the man died a short time later at a hospital.

At 1 pm, a 16-year-old girl was wounded when she was shot in an alley by an unknown male suspect, her condition is unknown.

Around 1:13 pm, another shooting took the life of a 17 year old young man, he was hit twice by gunfire, and died at a hospital.

There were at least 14 people shot by unknown suspects at about 6:30pm, in a drive-by shooting at a funeral. The victims were walking from inside the funeral when gunfire started; coincidently, the funeral was for a person who had been killed in Chicago in a shooting last week.

Later in the evening, another shooting hit two men, killing one. The first victim was a 32-year-old man who is reportedly in fair condition, the second victim was a 30 year old man who was shot in the chest, and died as a result. The two men were reportedly sitting on a porch when shot.
