New York: Homicides for 2020 are up 21 percent from last year. Shootings are up by 46 percent from last year.
Los Angeles: In June, they had an increase in the month’s first week by 250 percent in homicides, and a 56 percent increase in shootings for that period.
Chicago: They record 1,508 shootings thus far in 2020, and that’s 350 ahead of 2019. 2020 homicides total 254.
Washington DC: 2020 homicide numbers are up 13 percent from last year.
Philadelphia: Shootings are up 67 percent, while Homicides for the years are up 25 percent.
Baltimore: Homicides are at 134 fir 2020, six more than the same time last year.
